INSPIRE-SAT7 is a student-built nanosatellite focused on ionospheric research and space weather monitoring.

Key Features

  • Design: 2U CubeSat (20×10×10 cm).
  • Mass: ~2 kg.
  • Orbit: Sun-synchronous LEO (~550 km altitude).
  • Lifetime: Launched: April 15,2023. Decayed: September 18,2024.

Scientific Objectives

Primary mission goals include:

  • Minizturized sensors for Earth/Sun/Ionosphere observations.
  • Earth Observation for climate purpose.
  • Sun observation for solar physic purpose.
  • Ionosphiric observations for space weather and radiocommunication.

  • Student-led development with LATMOS/UVSQ.
  • Demonstrated multi-point, observation of Essential Climate Variable (ECV) and inosphere.
